Education and Business Experience
Under Jean-Baptiste de Chatillon’s leadership, the team manages financial risks and capital allocation to create value and growth. As part of Sanofi’s Play to Win strategy, Jean-Baptiste oversees both Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and the execution of a savings program to free existing resources that can be reinvested in the company’s science and pipeline.
Before joining Sanofi, Jean-Baptiste was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Managing Board and Executive Committee at PSA Peugeot Citroën. He has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, where he developed a skill set in finance, commercial and operational roles. He led major M&A deals with US, Russian, Chinese, Indian and European companies.
He holds a master’s in finance from Paris Dauphine University and studied finance at Lancaster University, England.
When he’s not working in Sanofi, Jean-Baptiste likes to farm in Normandy.
I have a deep interest in understanding the science behind our work, as well as the characteristics of an industry that is driven by long-term, complex innovation cycles, all in service of patients.
