Education and Business Experience

Thomas Triomphe leads the company's Global Business Unit for Vaccines, which spans from Vaccines R&D to commercialization and delivery of products all over the world. He and his team oversee a comprehensive portfolio of vaccines and immunizations that protect public health, including influenza and Covid 19 vaccines, various pediatric combination vaccines, RSV prevention for infants, adolescents & adult boosters, and meningitis and travel/endemic vaccines.

In September 2026, he assumed responsibility for Sanofi in China, with the mandate to explore future opportunities in this increasingly important market. Thomas joined Sanofi in 2004. In the two decades since, he has held various roles with increasing responsibilities at the country, regional, and global levels. Prior to his appointment to the Executive Committee in June 2020, Thomas led the Vaccines Franchise & Product Strategy organization, implementing the global brand model and designing the vaccines business roadmap.

He has also served as Global Head of Influenza-Pneumo Franchise, Japan General Manager, and as Head of Asia-Pacific region.

Before joining Sanofi, Thomas worked in banking and strategic consulting.

Thomas holds an engineering degree from École des Ponts ParisTech and ENSPM, as well as an MBA from INSEAD.

Outside of work, Thomas is a proud father of three and an avid sports fan. An enthusiastic marathon runner, Thomas has competed in five different countries across the globe.

Working every day alongside my colleagues to ensure our vaccines contribute to public health improvements all over the world is incredibly humbling and motivating.
