Embodying the Spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024

When we think of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, athletes usually steal the show. But let's not forget the unsung heroes: the volunteers.

They are the ones who make the event run seamlessly and they are often behind the most genuine and heartwarming interactions. It is not surprise that they are instrumental to this global sporting event’s success. As a Premium Partner, we wanted to bring in our own people to support to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 with a one-of-a-kind volunteer program.

The Sanofi Volunteer Program

When we put out the internal call for volunteers to our employees, we received a staggering number of applications! It’s testament that the spirit of community and social responsibility is alive and well within our company.

54

Countries represented

Our 2,024 Sanofians spanning 54 countries makes this cohort not only the largest within the 45,000 volunteers of the Paris 2024 Games, but also the most diverse.

Our volunteers are represented across gender, age groups, ethnicities, and levels of management.

All our volunteers are undergoing comprehensive training in storytelling, cultural awareness, diversity and inclusion, and even first aid.

The goal isn't just to prepare them for their tasks, but rather support them in being true ambassadors of our company’s core values and mission, and the first (and hopefully vocal!) supporters of Team Sanofi and all athletes on the ground.

Volunteer Spotlight: Cordula Galster

Cordula is the internal global sponsor for Sanofi’s Paris 2024 volunteer program, and also a former volunteer for the Olympic and Paralympic Games London 2012. For her the experience of being a volunteer was a transformative experience. "As soon as you put on the uniform, you become a focal point for attendees. The sense of impact is immediate and incredibly fulfilling."

Volunteer Spotlight:

Anand Kumar, a current Sanofi scientist and future volunteer, mirrors this excitement: “It's a dream to be able to join a group of committed and united volunteers to make this moment an unforgettable experience for both the public and the athletes.”

An Experience Shared by all Sanofians

Our volunteer initiative for the Paris 2024 Games is not like any other corporate initiative. We want it to be a meaningful endeavor that aligns with our deep-rooted values: diversity, inclusion, and global citizenship. Our 2,024 volunteers will not just be the event’s hands and feet, they will be its heart, and we are excited that they will contribute to an event that celebrates unity as much as diversity.

The launch of our volunteer program is only the beginning, and we plan to regularly share stories and highlights of our volunteers on the ground and behind-the-scenes. Stay in touch on our social media channels to follow their amazing journey ahead of this monumental event.
