Sanofi

Accessibility

At Sanofi, accessibility isn't an accommodation - it's a design principle that unlocks innovation for everyone. We embrace universal design as our methodology, recognizing that the full spectrum of human diversity drives the best solutions for all. From physical workplaces and digital platforms to medicine packaging and dispensing mechanisms, we design with intention: creating experiences that adapt to all bodies, anticipate diverse needs, and remove barriers before they exist.

Breaking Barriers by Design

The workplace has fundamentally transformed since 2020. We've embraced that change and reimagined the employee experience in our offices, labs and sites through the lens of radical inclusion.

The result? WorkX 2.0: our signature workplace standard that ensures full accessibility in every Sanofi space worldwide. Our Workplace Accessibility Standard reimagines inclusion from the ground up, creating environments where barriers never exist in the first place. Our ambitious WorkX 2.0 and Digital Accessibility standards ensure every Sanofian has seamless access to both physical and digital workspaces, with assistive technologies readily available.

Because true inclusion isn't about accommodating differences, it's about designing for them from the start.

Digital Accessibility without Compromise

Our digital approach goes beyond checkbox compliance. We've partnered with world-class accessibility experts to implement Web Content Accessibility Guidelines & PDF/UA standards across our global platforms. Through comprehensive Digital Accessibility Audits and our custom Assistive Software Catalog, we're creating digital experiences that work for everyone: Not as an afterthought, but as the foundation of our design system.

Our 2030 Product Vision

We envision a future where every medicine and vaccine we create is accessible by design. By 2030, we're committed to embedding accessibility in how we design, package, and deliver medicines and vaccines—not as an add-on, but as a core principle. We want to challenge industry norms, ensure the longest patient autonomy on their disease journey, and work towards products that adapt to people, not the other way around.
