Sanofi

People-Powered Change

Our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) transform individual passion into collective impact. With over 100 local groups across five global communities (Gender+, Generations+, Pride+, Ability+, and Culture and Origins+), our EBRGs are strategic powerhouses where employees drive real change. They shape our workplace culture through lived experiences, spark innovation by connecting us to diverse markets and communities, build powerful networks that extend beyond our walls, and create pathways for talent to thrive.

Beyond our EBRGs, our Global Affinity Groups provide vital support networks where employees connect around shared life experiences. These employee-initiated spaces offer resources, peer support, and community and ensure that whatever life brings, no Sanofian faces it alone - creating a workplace where personal challenges are met with collective strength.

Our Governance Framework for Employee Engagement

Each EBRG is governed through a dual leadership model: Two global employee co-leads who drive strategy, paired with Executive Committee sponsors who champion their work at the highest levels. This dual leadership structure ensures grassroots innovation meets executive accountability, creating direct pathways from employee experience to strategic action. Our EBRG movement isn't just supporting our inclusion strategy, it's defining them.

Leading the Way: Gender Equality in Action

Gender equality isn't a numbers game, it's about creating opportunity for all genders. We've earned our position as a Top 10 global company for gender equality and #1 in healthcare by backing our commitments with action. Through evidence-based policies like global gender-neutral parental leave for all parents and rigorous pay equity reviews, we're building systems designed for fairness for all from the ground up.

Global Gender-Neutral Paid Parental Leave

We believe parental leave should be for all parents, not just mothers. At Sanofi, we grant all new parents 14 weeks of paid leave to welcome a new child into their lives.

Regardless of country, gender, and sexual orientation, any employee recognized as the child’s parent as per local legislation or practice can benefit. This is just one way we’re driving equality in the workplace and helping take gender bias out of parental leave.

Pride in Our People

Pride+ is our global LGBTQ+ Employee Business Resource Group that drives inclusion, visibility, advocacy, and systemic change across Sanofi. They partner with leadership to shape inclusive policies, create safe spaces for authentic connection, and drive education for greater inclusion in and access to healthcare.

Recognized for Equity and Inclusion

Despite the decades-long fight for acceptance and equal rights, 71 countries still criminalize being gay. Social penalties are still pervasive, too: nearly half of all LGBTQ+ employees in the US are not out at work.

We support our LGBTQ+ employees. That’s why we’re proud to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as a “Best Place to Work” for LGBTQ+ employees.

Ability+

Our Ability+ Employee Business Resource Group is the driving force behind our disability inclusion revolution. With 700+ members across 18 countries, these employee-led groups focus on accessibility, neurodiversity, and mental wellbeing. They've developed groundbreaking e-learning solutions, forged strategic external partnerships, and created powerful moments of visibility during Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Rare Disease Day, Disability Pride Month, and International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Culture & Origins+

Our Culture & Origins+ community serve as internal consultants. They provide insights that shape global strategies—ranging from representative clinical research to creating outreach that resonates authentically with underserved populations.

We have moved beyond awareness to building cultural competence across the organization, providing trainings, tools, and resources that enhance collaboration, decision-making, and innovation, ensuring our diverse perspectives translate into measurable business impact.

Generations+

Through our Generations+ Employee Business Resource Group, we're actively bridging gaps between different age groups. Our mission is bold yet simple: to develop and support our people at every career stage, at every age.

We're continuing our journey to educate Sanofians about what ageism is and how it manifests in the workplace, while our policies and practices support career development, mentorship, and flexible ways of working that help everyone understand and leverage the unique strengths each generation brings.

Certified Age-Friendly Excellence

Our commitment to age diversity isn't just words — it's certified. In 2023, we became the first company in Brazil to achieve Certified Age Friendly Employer (CAFE) status through the Age-Friendly Institute's world-leading program. This certification recognizes organizations committed to being the best places to work for employees aged 50+, but our vision goes further. Today, six countries hold this prestigious certification: Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Mexico, USA, and Italy. Each one represents our tangible commitment to creating workplaces where professionals at every career stage are valued and empowered. We're not just focusing on one demographic — we're ensuring all five generations can collaborate, innovate, and thrive together because that's what our patients need from us.

Our Global Affinity Groups

Affinity groups provide safe spaces for employees to connect and support one another on lived experiences. This may include meeting together for supportive dialogue, collaboration spaces that share resources, and at times may include advocacy or community projects.
