Gender gaps in society remain a major barrier worldwide, impeding social advancement and hampering economic growth. To address these gaps, Sanofi has launched an ambitious commitment to achieve equal representation of women and men among its senior leaders.
On top of its ambition to promote gender balanced teams and leadership in the workplace, it has also aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal to support women in health and science through education, entrepreneurship, and partnerships to improve women’s access to healthcare.
A global delegation of 25 associates, women and men, from Sanofi, took part in the Women's Forum Global Meeting (WF) in Paris, November, which this year called on everyone to take the lead for inclusion, to step up and take action to change the status quo and break down barriers for women.

Sanofi’s Gender Balance Board and network has participated in the WF for the past nine years to support gender balance as a strategic business priority and also to engrain it into the company’s culture and values. It also runs individual leadership development programs for the next generation of female leaders and has built a more inclusive work environment through policies that focus on, e.g., the needs of the family and flexible working, all of which underlies its goal to make Sanofi the best place to work for everyone.
