On March 23, 2023, Team Sanofi athlete Yul Moldauer visited our Cambridge Crossing offices in the United States and shared with us his vision of a champion’s mindset.

In the lead up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, athletes and coaches from Team Sanofi are visiting our sites and engaging with our people to convey their winning spirit and values of courage, resilience, and hard work, but also to raise awareness of important diversity and inclusion issues, an ambition we share with all members of our Team.

A true ignitor, Yul shared with us his tenacity and enthusiasm for inspiring teammates, competitors, a large social media following, and now, Sanofi employees. His busy day included a fireside chat with Bill Sibold, Executive Vice President Specialty Care, a lab tour with R&D staff, and a meet and greet luncheon with employees.

During his tour of the labs at 350 Water Street, Yul was particularly interested in the work in immunology – specifically asthma since he struggled with the condition as a child.

“Meeting with Yul was great,” said Nicholas Panzarino, a scientist working on exploratory research in Type 2 inflammation. “He has a competitive spirit, and we’re competitive in science.”

When Yul isn’t training or competing, he uses his platform to raise the profile of men’s gymnastics and speak out against racist rhetoric and actions faced by the Asian community. Being a role model that champions inclusion is important to Yul, and a message that resonates with us at Sanofi.
