Diane Souza was CEO of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits and has over 25 years of managed care and health benefits experience.
Diane began her career with Price Waterhouse in 1979 as Audit Staff Accountant before assuming several senior positions at Deloitte Haskins & Sells from 1980 to 1988. She returned to Price Waterhouse from 1988 to 1994, where she notably held the position of Head of the Northeast Insurance Tax Region. In 1994 Diane joined Aetna, where her roles included CFO of Guaranteed Products and Aetna Life Insurance Company. At UnitedHealthcare beginning in 2008, she led healthcare operations and business and large-scale systems transformation, in addition to her CEO role.
Diane Souza is a certified public accountant, holds a degree in accounting from University of Massachusetts, an honorary doctorate in Business studies from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a degree in dental hygiene from Northeastern University, Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists.
